The changes will make our policy and regulation consistent with the paragraph on photography and/or filming of students in the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians, which states:
If, for any reason, you do not want your child’s likeness to be used by the Santa Barbara Unified School District or by the news media for the purpose of positive publicity about school activities or student achievement, please notify your school office immediately.
We have created an opt-out form which is posted on the district website that parents can use if they wish to prevent publication of their child’s photo on the district or school website, or other media.
