Background:As a result of a request for proposals/qualifications, architectural firms were reviewed and then four firms were selected for interviews. The interview panel selected LPA, Inc. as the the district's first choice. The superintendent was given authority to enter into an agreement with LPA, Inc. to conduct and create a Santa Barbara Unified School District Facility Master Plan. The contracted amount of $284,250 is the maximum amount that can be charged for the work. It is recommended that the board approve the contract so that the work can be started.
