Update on Implementation of the New Munis Financial System

Background:On April 09, 2013, fiscal services staff presented to the board the need to replace the district’s financial system. On April 23, 2013, the board approved the contract with Tyler Technologies to implement its Munis financial system on July 1, 2014.

Since that time, the implementation has taken off and is well under way. Fiscal services staff is on schedule and on budget for the target implementation of all contracted modules on July 1, 2014.

Implementation progress has been made in the following modules and functions:

·Position control

·Budgeting

·Purchasing

·Accounting

·Accounts payable

·Accounts receivable

·Fixed assets

·Inventory

·Customizable role tailored dashboards
