Background:

Attached is the General Child Care Contract No. CCTR-3271 Amendment 01 between the California Department of Education and the Santa Barbara Unified School District Child Development Program.  The Department of Education has increased the Maximum Reimbursable Amount (MRA) payable pursuant to the provisions of the agreement from $903,793.00 to $926,237.00.

 

The contract funds are primarily used for certificated and classified salaries for each classroom.  The remainder of the contract pays for instructional materials, meal plan, professional development, business operations and custodian support and supplies.

 

Recommendation:

That the Board of Education adopt Resolution No. 2013/14-31 Approval of General Child Care Contract No. CCTR-3271 Amendment 01 between the Santa Barbara Unified School District Child Development and After School Program and the California Department of Education for the 2013/14 school year.

Fiscal Impact:

No fiscal impact to the District.  The Child Development and After School Program will receive $926,237 in place of the original amount of $903,793 from the California Department of Education.
