One of the requirements of the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is that we as a District have a Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators filed each year if we anticipate employing teachers who are not fully credentialed, e.g. on Emergency CLAD/BCLAD, Limited Assignment, Emergency Resource Specialist, or Emergency Library Permits. The original of this form was filed in August 2013 based on projected needs.
We have a number of special education teachers who are authorized with a mild/moderate or learning handicapped credential but have not completed their Autism certificates. We need to apply for Limited Assignment Permits in Special Education: Autism authorization.
