Background:This is a Memorandum of Understanding between the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County and the A-OK Program. The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to outline the roles and responsibilities in the administration, delivery and execution of the Kid’s Farmers Market program at the following A-OK sites: Adams, Adelante, Cleveland, Franklin, Harding, and McKinley Elementary Schools.

The Foodbank agrees to provide fresh produce items as identified in the Kid’s Farmers Market curriculum for the number of individuals specified by A-OK for the months of October 2012 through May 2013. They will also provide recipes in both English and Spanish, training to the A-OK staff to facilitate the nutrition education portion of the Kid’s Farmers Market.

Recommendation:That the Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Understanding between the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County and the A-OKProgram for the 2012/2013 school year.
