Background:
On September 27, 1982 a license agreement was executed between the City of Santa Barbara and the School District to allow the District to use 16,340 square feet of Eastside Library land for landscaping and walkway purposes between the library and Franklin Elementary School.
 
Portable buildings were placed on the property by the district and are currently occupied by Adelante Charter School.  This lease will allow for the portable buildings and the term of the lease is set to expire at the same time as the lease the District has with the City for Fire Station #5 at La Cumbre Junior High School.
