Background:

Public Contract Code 20111 requires competitive bidding for purchases of materials, supplies, equipment or services in excess of $83,400.

RFP 2012-13-001 was advertised in December 2012. AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless submitted proposals. A tabulation sheet is attached.

Recommendation:

It is recommended the Board of Education award RFP 2012-13-001 to Verizon Wireless.

Fiscal Impact:

No significant change to current rates and charges. The District has applied for all Federal E-Rate program discounts for which it is eligible.
