| Background: | Due to the unknown funding model of the current State budget, the district is forced to plan for a worst case scenario in the reduction of particular kinds of services. Our hope is that decisions will be made to enable us to rescind some of the reductions in force, prior to the end of the school year. The Superintendent is recommending a reduction in particular kinds of services, specifically the reduction in the number of certificated employees in the Santa Barbara Unified School District. The employees affected by this layoff will be notified by March 15, 2013. |
