Background:
The job descriptions attached have been ratified by CSEA for inclusion into the bargaining unit.
 
The Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician is a reclassification from the Audio-Visual Equipment Technician; the Purchasing Assistant is a new position and will replace the Senior Office Assistant position in the Purchasing Department.
 
Board approval of the new job descriptions is required.  
Recommendation:That the Board of Education approves the attached job descriptions for inclusion into the bargaining unit.

Fiscal Impact:
Additional annual cost to the unrestricted general fund of $12,500 for both positions.
($8,000 - Purchasing Assistant, $4,500 - Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician)
