Child Development has been successful in applying for and receiving grants for exterior playground improvements.

 

This bid included deductive alternates to eliminate portions of the project so the award would not be greater than the grant funds available for the project. The bids are approximately $30,000 over budget and higher than expected. The architect has contacted the bidders to obtain a schedule of values so the district is now aware of which parts of the project cost more than anticipated and why. Child Development and the architect have agreed on a reduced scope of work to meet the available grant funds for the project.

 

A mandatory pre-bid conference was held at 1:00 PM on February 19, 2013 in response to public advertisement. Thirteen contractors attended the pre-bid conference and bids were opened at 10:00 AM on March 14, 2013. A bid tabulation sheet is attached.
