Agenda Title:Approval of Resolution 2012/2013-45, Acknowledgements Related to the Applications Received by the State Allocation Board that are Beyond the Bonding Authority
Background:
Background Current State bond funds are oversubscribed and the State Allocation Board is requiring that districts wanting to get in line for future funds acknowledge that future State bond funds are not guaranteed.

The district used all past available eligibility for Santa Barbara High School with applications supported by Measure V 2000 for the required match. School Facility Consultants has been able to establish additional current eligibility for Santa Barbara High School ($531,545), San Marcos High School ($157,224), Adams Elementary School (362,010), Washington Elementary School ($909,762), Adelante Charter School ($821,274), Harding University Partnership School ($450,000), and Santa Barbara Community Academy ($82,800) and my office recommends getting in line and asking for State matching modernization funds for the projects listed in the resolution.

You must have matching funds, California Department of Education plan approval and Division of State Architect approved plans to apply for matching funds. The requirement that you can only modernize a building every 25 years and receive funding has changed to the building must be 25 years old and established eligibility can then be used on any 25 year old building on the campus.

Once the State Allocation Board funds the project, the district has 18 months to issue a Notice to Proceed for the project and request the funds.
