Approval of the 2012-13 Annual Program Self-Evaluation for the Child Development Programs: California State Preschool Program and Cal-SAFE Program

Background:The Child Development Division of the California Department of Education requires center-based contractors and California School-Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program coordinators to complete the annual Program Self-Evaluation.  The Desired Results Annual Self-Evaluation Report is due each year by June 1st.  A copy of the Program Self-Evaluation must be presented to the Local Educational Agency's Board of Education as part of the process.

Plan
The Child Development Program began the self-evaluation requirements in November 2012 and completed the Summary of Findings and Action Plans in May 2013.  The annual report will be signed on May 21, 2013 and submitted to the California Department of Education on May 30, 2013.
Recommendation:The Board of Education approve the 2012-13 Annual Program Self-Evaluation for the Child Development Programs: California State Preschool Program and Cal-SAFE Program.
