Agenda Title:Approval of Proposal from Campbell Geo, Inc. for Peabody Stadium at Santa Barbara High School Geological Hazards Evaluation for the Seismic Mitigation Program
Background:On May 7, 2013 the board approved Priority List 2 for the remainder of Measure Q 2010 bond funds.  This project was included on the list and the district has requested the attached proposal from KBZ architects.

Assembly Bill 127 allocated approximately $200 million from Proposition 1D State Bond Funds for Seismic Mitigation projects.  The first step in the process is to conduct a structural evaluation and submit the results to the Division of State Architect (DSA) for evaluation of Eligibility.  The evaluation was completed on March 11, 2013 and submitted to DSA.  On May 9, 2013 DSA informed the Office of Public School Construction (OPSC) that our evaluation has been approved for the program.

The next two steps are to conduct a replacement vs. rehabilitation value study and to conduct a geological seismic report outlining the mitigation work along with a letter of concurrence from the California Geological Survey.  On May 28, 2013 the Board approved a proposal for the replacement vs. rehabilitation study and this proposal addresses the second of the next two steps in the process.
