| Background: | For the past four years Santa Barbara Unified School District has been collaborating with Tradart procuring supplies and equipment for the Construction Pathway at the junior high and high schools. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) encompasses a Tiny Homes Program whereby students in the advanced woodworking and construction courses at each of the three comprehensive high schools work with class instructors to construct a tiny home on wheels during the course of the school year. Under the Tiny Homes Program, the tiny homes will be sold to members of the public and the sales proceeds used to finance the Tiny Homes Program in the following school year. |
