On June 13, 2017, the Board awarded a contract to RK & G Construction, Inc. in the amount of $173,696.00 for Phase I of the subject project. This phase replaced and enhanced the pavement between the parking lot and the theater.
Phase II of the project addresses the landscaping in front of the school. It includes a new irrigation system, replacement of turf, conversion of turf to drought tolerant landscaping and replacement of plants. The furnishing and installation of plants is being accomplished by volunteers and the contractor will install the drip irrigation system for the plants.
This project is under the bid limit and the La Cumbre Junior High Foundation has selected the contractor and deposited funds with the district to fund the contract. The district and site administration have reviewed the plans and specifications and recommend approval of the contract award
