Public Contract Code 20111 requires competitive bidding for purchases of materials, supplies, equipment or services in excess of $90,200.

In July 2015 Cox Communications was awarded the contract for Wide Area Network and Internet Services which will expire on June 30, 2018. 

RFP #P17/18-07 for Wide Area Network/Internet Provider Services was advertised to solicit proposals which will accommodate the District's needs and fulfill the E-rate requirements of the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC). The District has qualified for an 80% E-rate rebate of eligible services.

Proposals were received by Cox Communications and Frontier Business. Both proposals were fully responsive to the terms of the bid conditions. Cox Communications offered the more competitive rate for the level of service needed to accommodate all locations. District staff is recommending award to Cox Communications.
