| Background: | Small Scale Food Production will teach a variety of practical food production skills for urban and suburban spaces. The course will require a small working farm and/or nursery in which students will propagate and grow food crops and show proficiency with a variety of horticultural/agricultural materials. Sustainable food production is a critical issue in Advanced Placement Environmental Science and this course follows naturally from this and other courses which discuss environmental sustainability. |
