| Item Title: | Approval of a One Year Consulting and Advocacy Agreement with Capitol Advisors Group, LLC (Jette) | | Agenda Title: | Approval of a One Year Consulting and Advocacy Agreement with Capitol Advisors Group, LLC | | Background: | The Santa Barbara Unified School (SBUSD) ratified an agreement with Capital Advisors (CA) Group in May of 2015. CA provides services such as: a) legislative and political analysis of legislation that may impact the SBUSD, b) legislative and administrative representation on behalf of the SBUSD in the California State Capitol, California Department of Education, California State Board of Education and other vital agencies. A complete description of services is included in Exhibit A of the attached consulting and advocacy agreement.
Staff would like to continue working with CA.
