Background:

Santa Barbara Unified School District’s Citizens’ Oversight Committee (CBOC) Bylaws state:

“…. The Board may determine that a Committee member’s seat on the Committee has become vacant under any of the following circumstances: 1) Resignation of that Committee member submitted in writing to the Board which shall be effective upon its receipt by the Board…”

Attached are emails from Ms. Taryn O’Neil and Ms. Sarah Knecht announcing their individual resignations. Ms. O’Neil and Ms. Knecht’s both joined the CBOC, as of December of 2016, and their first term of two years ended in March of 2019. Staff and committee members appreciate their diligent service to the committee.

Recommendation:Accept with appreciation Ms. O’Neil and Ms. Knecht’s resignations.
