Background:

On December 15, 2017 the Board approved RSH Construction for the subject project.

On February 13, 2018 the Board approved the contract documents for the project.

The contractor and district have agreed on a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project in an amount of $2,236,969.  The budget for this project is $1,094,876.  The scope of work for this project was dramatically increased by required accessibility requirements mandated by the Department of the State Architect.  What was originally a project to replace existing poles and heighten the fencing around the backstops to protect adjacent areas from stray balls, evolved into a large project with over $500,000 in concrete work.  The attached spreadsheet shows how we would like to fund the project.

Item 2 is the original budget for the project.

Item 5 is the GMP from RSH Construction for the revised scope of work required by DSA.

Item 7 is the deficit between the original budget and the GMP

Item 9 is the funding we are requesting from Measure I Program Contingency to cover the cost difference.
